Apply for a Resident Parking Permit

• You are a resident of a Parkraumbewirtschaftungszone (parking management zone) • Anyone who is registered with the registration authority within the parking zone and actually lives there is entitled to apply. • In Berlin, a registered secondary residence (Nebenwohnung) is sufficient. • You are the registered keeper (Zulassungsinhaber/in) of a registered vehicle, or you are demonstrably permitted to use it on a permanent basis this also applies to rental cars • For the online application: consent to the electronic payment procedure Pay electronically directly in the online procedure by credit card (Visa, Mastercard).

Application for a Resident Parking Permit (Bewohnerparkausweis) You can submit the application online, or alternatively in writing by post, or, in exceptional cases, in person at the district Bürgerämter (citizens' offices) of the parking zone. • For online applications: Please have all required documents and evidence ready to upload in PDF, JPG, PNG, GIF or BMP format. A single file may not exceed 5 MB. • For written applications by post: A signature on the application is mandatory! Please do not send cash or crossed cheques. You will receive a Gebührenbescheid (fee notice) with a request for payment. • For applications submitted in person: A signature on the application is mandatory! Appointments (Termine) in person are currently only available in exceptional cases, following prior arrangement with the district offices. If you attend an appointment, bring the application form filled in and signed in advance. • Zulassungsbescheinigung Teil 1 (vehicle registration certificate part 1, "Fahrzeugschein") (copy) A copy of the fully unfolded front side of the Zulassungsbescheinigung Teil 1 ("Fahrzeugschein") is required. It must show the name and address of the registered keeper, the vehicle type, the technically permissible gross weight, and the vehicle's official registration plate number. • For written or in-person applications: Proof of identity (copy) • A copy of both sides of the Personalausweis (identity card) serves as proof of the registered address. • If a passport is used as proof of identity, or if the actual place of residence is not entered on the Personalausweis (identity card) (e.g. in the case of a secondary residence), please also submit or bring, in addition to the copy of the identity document, either consent to the authority's inspection of the Melderegister (register of residents) or, alternatively, a current Meldebescheinigung (registration certificate). • If you, as the applicant, are not yourself the registered keeper of the vehicle: proof that the vehicle has been made available to you for permanent use (under "Formulare" [forms]) • e.g. by a written declaration from the registered keeper • For rental vehicles: confirmation from the rental car company that the vehicle has been made available to you for permanent use. • For carsharing: carsharing contract (copy) • Members of carsharing schemes should enclose a copy of a carsharing contract or comparable document. Use of different vehicles in a manner comparable to carsharing must likewise be evidenced by suitable documents. • Some carsharing providers have special arrangements for free parking, including in parking-management zones (Parkraumbewirtschaftungszonen). Please check with your provider. • If represented by another person: written power of attorney (Vollmacht) You only need a written power of attorney if you are authorising someone else to apply for and receive a resident parking permit on your behalf. • Note on data protection All other non-relevant data, such as height, eye colour, passport photo, access number, further vehicle details etc., may be rendered illegible in accordance with the Berlin Data Protection Act (Berliner Datenschutzgesetz).

20.40 euros: issuance of a residents' parking permit (Bewohnerparkausweis) If you apply in writing, you will receive the parking permit and a fee notice (Gebührenbescheid) with a request for payment. At some locations, payment is only possible on site.

Apply for the Bewohnerparkausweis (residents' parking permit) in the Bezirk (district) in which the Parkraumbewirtschaftungszone (parking management zone) is located. Exception: The Bezirksamt Mitte (Mitte district office) is responsible for the entire Flottwellstraße.
