• Proof of identity • Identity card (Personalausweis) or • Passport with a registration certificate (Meldebescheinigung) for your current address, if applicable a landlord confirmation (Wohnungsgeberbestätigung), or • eID card for EU/EEA citizens (Unionsbürgerkarte / Union citizen's card) with a registration certificate (Meldebescheinigung) for your current address, if applicable a landlord confirmation (Wohnungsgeberbestätigung) • Third-country nationals please bring your work permit and residence permit (Aufenthaltserlaubnis). • For minors under 18: declaration of consent from the parent/legal guardian • Proof of activity/employment • School interns in grades 7 to 10 receive the internship card (Praktikumskarte) (responsibility (Zuständigkeit) is determined by the location of the school); please bring proof of the internship • Volunteer staff of registered, non-profit associations, as well as volunteer helpers in school canteens, receive a certificate of voluntary work (Ehrenamtliche Bescheinigung) upon presentation of a letter from the organization confirming that no expense allowance is paid and that the certificate is issued only for associations in Berlin • Proof of place of work Persons who are not registered in Berlin should provide proof, by means of an employment contract or a written confirmation from the employer, that the employer intends to hire them at their company.
