Liegenschaftskataster (real property cadastre) - Apply for information/an extract

You cannot submit an application either online or in writing.] The Liegenschaftskataster (real property cadastre) records all parcels of land (Flurstücke) and buildings across the entire state on the basis of property surveys. It consists, on the one hand, of the Flurkarte (cadastral map), in which all parcels and buildings are shown to scale with their spatial boundaries. On the other hand, the Liegenschaftskataster contains descriptive data (Liegenschaftsbuch, cadastral register), which includes, for example, the Gemarkung (cadastral district), the section and parcel number, the area size, the location designation, and the actual use. In addition, the data of the owners and holders of heritable building rights (Erbbauberechtigte) is also kept for informational purposes, in agreement with the Grundbuch (land register). If, for example, you want to submit a building application, use a plot of land as collateral with a bank, or purchase a property, you will generally need a current extract from the Liegenschaftskataster in the form of an extract from the Flurkarte or from the Liegenschaftsbuch. The Liegenschaftskataster is maintained in the Amtliches Liegenschaftskatasterinformationssystem (Official Real Property Cadastre Information System, ALKIS®).
