• Membership of certain trades/branches of industry www.berlin.de/sen/uvk/_assets/verkehr/verkehrsplanung/strass A prerequisite for granting a Handwerkerparkausweis (tradesperson's parking permit) is membership of a trade or branch of industry named in the list (see link); a Handwerkerparkausweis can also be granted for comparable fields if a justification for the necessity is submitted. • Absolute necessity of having vehicles ready for use at the place of deployment.

• Application for the issuance of a Handwerkerparkausweis (tradesperson's parking permit) Possible online, or you submit the (paper) application in writing by post • For the online application: please have all required documents and proof ready to upload. • if applicable, attachment to the (paper) application: registration of additional vehicle license plates • Proof of affiliation with a specific trade/economic sector • Handwerkerkarte (tradesperson's card) or • Handelsregisterauszug (extract from the commercial register) or • Certificate from the IHK (Chamber of Industry and Commerce [Industrie- und Handelskammer]) • Zulassungsbescheinigung (vehicle registration certificate) or proof of permanent right of use • Copy of Zulassungsbescheinigung (vehicle registration certificate) Part 1 • If the vehicle is not registered to the applicant, proof of permanent right of use must be submitted (e.g. for leased vehicles). • Photographic evidence (photo/s) Photographic evidence (photo/s) for all vehicles included in the application (suitability and license plate must be visible). An inspection of the vehicle may also be carried out. • written confirmation that the vehicle must be used at the place of work It must be credibly demonstrated that use of the vehicle within the parking zone is absolutely necessary (e.g. for transporting bulky material). For the businesses or trade activities listed, this can generally be assumed. • Written confirmation: "I declare that I am dependent on my vehicle(s) for transporting bulky materials and that I also urgently need it/them at the place of work to carry out my activity." • Arbeitsstättennachweis (proof of place of work) Form for proof of place of work The Handwerkerparkausweis (tradesperson's parking permit) is only valid in conjunction with an Arbeitsstättennachweis (proof of place of work). The Arbeitsstättennachweis is not part of the application for a Handwerkerparkausweis.

• 130.00 Euro: Handwerkerparkausweis (tradesperson's parking permit) with a validity period of up to 6 months • 200.00 Euro: Handwerkerparkausweis with a validity period of up to 12 months • 350.00 Euro: Handwerkerparkausweis with a validity period of up to 24 months • 25.00 Euro: for each additional vehicle registration number entry (max. 3 per parking permit) with a validity period of up to 6 months • 40.00 Euro: for each additional vehicle registration number entry (max. 3 per parking permit) with a validity period of up to 12 months • 70.00 Euro: for each additional vehicle registration number entry (max. 3 per parking permit) with a validity period of up to 24 months

Responsibility (Zuständigkeit) for parking space management lies with the Bezirke (districts). Handwerkerparkausweise (tradesperson parking permits) can be applied for in all districts. Districts that do not operate parking space management forward the application to those districts that do operate parking space management and can process the application and issue Handwerkerparkausweise (tradesperson parking permits).
