Schwerbehinderung (severe disability) - apply for temporary participation in the Sonderfahrdienst (special transport service)

With the Sonderfahrdienst (special transport service) you can take trips for leisure and recreation purposes if your mobility is significantly impaired. To do so, you apply to the Versorgungsamt (pension office) for the "T" mark (Merkzeichen "T", participation in the special transport service). You will then receive an eligibility number (Berechtigten-Nummer). Provisional participation for the duration of the assessment procedure is possible if your health insurance fund has covered the costs of a wheelchair or rollator. • If the "T" mark is refused in the decision (Bescheid), provisional participation ends. • If the "T" mark is granted, you can take part in the special transport service for an unlimited period.
