Application for Issuance of an Income Certificate under Section 9 (2) of the Wohnraumförderungsgesetz (Housing Subsidy Act) Available online You submit the (paper) application in writing by post. • For online applications: Please have all required documents and evidence ready to upload in PDF or JPG format. The total size of your files must not exceed 30 MB. A single file may be no larger than 5 MB. • For written applications: Please fill in the application and the attachments. The application must be signed by all persons of legal age. Send the application and the attachments to the district Bürgeramt (citizens' office) or Wohnungsamt (housing office) where you are registered. • Declaration of personal circumstances and current housing situation • Income declaration Please fill in the income declaration for each person. It must be signed by all persons of legal age. • Income certificate The income certificate is filled in and signed by the employer. • Identity documents (copy) from all persons named in the application for example identity cards (Personalausweise) or foreign passports with a residence permit • Registration certificates (copy) service.berlin.de/dienstleistung/120702/ from all persons named in the application. Fees apply for the Meldebescheinigungen (registration certificates). • Marriage certificate or civil partnership certificate (copy) • Partnership declaration (copy) For unmarried persons or persons not related to one another, a partnership declaration may be required. • Proof of a different marital status (copy) If you are not single: for example a divorce decree or death certificate • If your children are also named in the application: your children's birth certificate (copy) • Declaration of joint custody (copy) • If you are pregnant: Mutterpass (maternity record) (copy) Mutterpass with the 14th week of pregnancy entered, complete • Acknowledgement of paternity (copy) for example in the case of a cohabiting partnership with a joint child and a custody decision • If you are severely disabled: front and back of the Schwerbehindertenausweis (severe disability card) (copy) • If you are a student: certificate of enrolment for the semester (copy) For foreign students: additionally also the certificate of the duration of study • If you are a foreign national: proof of right of residence (copy) If you are a national of a European Union (EU) member state, a copy of your identity document is generally sufficient.
