Register of associations (Vereinsregister) - Register changes to the executive board

• Change of board Changes have occurred in the composition of your association's Vorstand (board), e.g. through elections or resignations.

• Application for registration of a change of board members (Anmeldung – registration application) The application must be submitted by the board (Vorstand) in the number of members authorized to represent the association under Section 26 BGB (Bürgerliches Gesetzbuch – German Civil Code). Your signatures on the application must be officially certified (öffentlich beglaubigt). To do this, the board members generally must visit a notary. • Required content: State which board members have left and which new members have joined the board. Changes in the functions of board members must also be reported. Please provide the dates of birth and places of residence of the new board members. • Basis for the change in the composition of the board • Election: If the members decided on the change of board through an election, for example at the Mitgliederversammlung (general meeting), please submit the minutes of that meeting. Required content of the minutes: name of the association, date of the meeting, full names of the candidates standing for election, clear voting results (number of yes and no votes), and the statement of those elected that they accept the election. • Please note: If there are more than 2 candidates, the election result must be determined through several successive rounds of voting. Run-off elections and block voting are only permitted if the association's Satzung (statutes) provides for them. Elections may only be held if they were announced in the invitation letter. • Appointment by third parties: If a person or institution is authorized by the Satzung (statutes) to appoint the board, please submit the letter of appointment and a statement from the appointed persons that they accept the office. A copy is sufficient. • Resignation: If a board member resigns, please submit the letter of resignation (Rücktrittserklärung). A copy is sufficient.

• 66.67 euros: court procedural fee You can ask the notary about the amount of the certification fees.
