Plant protection products - notification of advisory and application services

If you • apply Pflanzenschutzmittel (plant protection products) for others (other than occasional neighborly assistance) or • wish to advise others on plant protection for commercial/professional purposes, you must notify this activity to both the authority responsible for the business location and the authority responsible for the place of activity. EXAMPLE: If your business is located in Berlin but you are also active in the state of Brandenburg, this must be notified to the Pflanzenschutzamt Berlin (Berlin Plant Protection Office) and to the Pflanzenschutzdienst (Plant Protection Service) of the state of Brandenburg. Advisory activities aimed, for example, solely at the use of beneficial organisms (regardless of the application of plant protection products) must also be notified to the responsible authority. The notification must be made before the activity begins, in each case. Changes to the notified circumstances, in particular a change of staff, must be reported to the Pflanzenschutzamt Berlin without delay. Once the required documents have been submitted in full, you will be sent a certificate of notification and a Gebührenbescheid (fee notice/invoice).
