Plant Protection Products - Notification of Trading

Wer gewerblich mit Pflanzenschutzmitteln (plant protection products) handelt, hat dies der für den Betriebssitz und den Ort der Tätigkeit zuständigen Behörde anzuzeigen. Anyone who trades commercially in Pflanzenschutzmittel (plant protection products) must report this to the authority responsible for the business's registered location and the place of activity. Example: If your business is based in Berlin, but you are also active in the State of Brandenburg, this must be reported not only to the Pflanzenschutzamt Berlin (Berlin Plant Protection Office) but also to the Pflanzenschutzdienst (Plant Protection Service) of the State of Brandenburg. The reporting obligation applies if you place plant protection products on the market for commercial purposes or as part of other economic undertakings, import them for commercial purposes, or trade in plant protection products within the European Union. In the case of import, the notification must be submitted to the authority responsible for the establishment of the Verfügungsberechtigter (person entitled to dispose). This must include the name, address, and telecommunications details of the Verfügungsberechtigter. The notification must be submitted before the activity begins. Changes to the reported circumstances, in particular a change of staff, must be reported to the Pflanzenschutzamt Berlin (Berlin Plant Protection Office) without being requested to do so.
