KG) or sole traders (e.K.), you can access the Handelsregister (commercial register) and the documents submitted to the commercial register. The joint register portal of the German federal states (Länder) is available for this online. There you can search specifically for registered companies or sole traders. You can download the relevant information on the companies you are looking for, e.g. an extract from the commercial register, commercial register applications, and lists of shareholders, free of charge as a PDF file. Registration and login are not required. Simple inspection of the Berlin commercial register and the documents submitted to the commercial register is possible free of charge during office hours at the Amtsgericht Charlottenburg (Charlottenburg local court), Hardenbergstraße building.
