Family support services

Mothers, fathers, other persons with parental responsibility, and young people are offered services for the general support of upbringing within the family. Family education, counselling, family leisure activities and family recreation support all persons with parental responsibility in exercising their responsibility for upbringing. Family support services include, for example: • Parenting courses • Parent-child groups • Health and exercise projects • Counselling on various questions arising in everyday life raising children and young people • Frühe Hilfen (early help) services offering support during pregnancy and around the time of birth, as well as in the child's first years of life • Outreach family work and support • Leisure and educational activities for families • Self-organised groups • Festivals and other events • Family trips Family support helps parents accompany their child's development, to improve the conditions for a healthy upbringing, age-appropriate development and good educational outcomes. Family encounters at the facilities and centres create a lively, diverse and stimulating atmosphere. Families take an active part in developing, shaping and implementing the services offered. By promoting encounters, the aim is to stimulate self-help potential and enable help toward self-help. Target group: Mothers, fathers, other persons with parental responsibility, young people
