Requirements

Who is responsible

The Gewerberegister (trade register) is maintained by the Ordnungsämter (public order offices). It contains all the businesses and enterprises that have their registered seat in the respective Berlin districts. If you also want to obtain information about private individuals (e.g. their current registered address), you must apply for an extract from the Melderegister (residents' registration register). All data offered is up to date as of the current day. However, the Berlin Ordnungsämter can only provide the trade data that is actually reported by the businesses. If individual businesses fail to file the corresponding Gewerbeanzeige (trade notification), their data cannot, of course, be included in the eAuskunft (electronic information service) either. No information can be provided any longer about businesses that have been deregistered for more than one year.
