Report the rectification of defects for the motor vehicle or trailer

Have you received a notice of defects (Mängel) concerning your vehicle? Please provide proof of the rectification of the defect(s) without delay, otherwise the operation of the vehicle may be prohibited. Please refer to the defects report or the letter from the registration authority (Zulassungsbehörde) for the applicable way of proving that the defects have been rectified. If rectification of the defects is not possible within the deadline stated on the defects card or in our letter, please contact us as soon as possible by e-mail: [email protected]. If repairs will take longer, it is advisable to take the vehicle out of service. Instead of "take out of service", the terms "stilllegen" or "abmelden" (deregistration) are also used (see "Further information" for more).
