• You have your residence or registered office within the area of responsibility of the Kfz-Zulassungsbehörde Berlin (motor vehicle registration authority). • There must be no outstanding motor vehicle tax (Kraftfahrzeugsteuer) owed to the Hauptzollamt (main customs office) or outstanding fees owed to the Land Berlin. • The vehicle must have a valid Hauptuntersuchung (main safety inspection). • For the online application: This must be retrievable in the central vehicle register. • For the online application: The Zulassungsbescheinigung Teil II (ZB Teil II, vehicle registration certificate part II) must have a security code.
