The approving authority is the Anerkennungsbehörde für Prüfingenieure für Standsicherheit (recognition authority for structural safety inspection engineers): the Senatsverwaltung für Stadtentwicklung und Wohnen (Senate Department for Urban Development and Housing), Oberste Bauaufsicht (Supreme Building Supervisory Authority).
