School - request school psychological counseling (SIBUZ)

The Schulpsychologische und Inklusionspädagogische Beratungs- und Unterstützungszentren (School Psychology and Inclusive Education Advice and Support Centers, SIBUZ) advise and support pupils, parents/legal guardians and teachers, as well as school leaderships and school supervisory authorities. The advice can be obtained confidentially. SIBUZ provides advice on the following subject areas: School psychology • School psychological advice and assessment: enrollment and school transfers, school career, giftedness, school anxiety, school avoidance, motivation and concentration problems, behavioral issues, trauma, reading, spelling and arithmetic difficulties • School-based prevention: addiction prevention, health promotion, social learning, violence prevention • Crisis intervention in schools: including in cases of conflict, bullying, sexual assault, suicidality, threats of rampage attacks, serious accidents and death • Supervision and coaching for teachers Inclusive education • Determination of special educational support needs • Special educational support in school, inclusive schooling • Pre-school language support • Dealing with diversity, giftedness • Preventive measures to avoid serious learning and developmental problems
