Extend a Resident Parking Permit

• You hold a Parkausweis (parking permit) whose validity ends in a maximum of 1 month • You are a resident of a Parkraumbewirtschaftungszone (managed parking zone) • Entitlement applies to anyone who is registered with the registration authority (meldebehördlich) within the parking zone and actually lives there. • In Berlin, a registered secondary residence (angemeldete Nebenwohnung) is sufficient. • You are the registered owner (Zulassungsinhaber/in) of a registered vehicle, or you can prove you are permitted to use it permanently This also applies to rental cars. • For online applications: consent to the electronic payment procedure Pay electronically directly in the online procedure by credit card (Visa, Mastercard).

• Application for reissue ("renewal") of a resident parking permit You can submit the application online, alternatively in writing by post or, in exceptional cases, in person at the district Bürgerämter (citizens' offices) of the parking zone. • If applying online: Please have all required documents and evidence ready to upload in PDF, JPG, PNG, GIF or BMP format. A single file may not exceed 5 MB. • If applying in writing by post: A signature on the application is mandatory! Please do not send any cash or crossed cheques. You will receive a Gebührenbescheid (fee notice) with a request for payment. • If applying in person on site: A signature on the application is mandatory! An appointment (Termin) on site is currently only available in exceptional cases, after prior arrangement with the district offices. In that case, bring the application form, filled in and signed in advance, with you to the appointment. • Parking permit number • Zulassungsbescheinigung Teil 1 (vehicle registration certificate part 1) (copy) A copy of the fully unfolded front page of the Zulassungsbescheinigung Teil 1 ("Fahrzeugschein" / vehicle registration document) is required. It must show the name and address of the vehicle's registered keeper, the type of vehicle, the technically permissible gross weight, and the vehicle's official registration number (license plate). • If applying in writing or in person: proof of identity (copy) • A copy of both sides of the Personalausweis (identity card) serves as proof of the registered address. • If a passport is used as proof of identity, or if the actual place of residence is not entered on the Personalausweis (e.g. in the case of a secondary residence), please also submit or bring, in addition to the copy of the identity document, your consent to the authority's inspection of the Melderegister (register of residents), or alternatively a current Meldebescheinigung (registration certificate). • If you, as the applicant, are not yourself the registered keeper of the vehicle: proof that the vehicle has been made available to you for permanent use (under "Forms") • for example, by a written statement from the registered keeper • For rental cars: confirmation from the car rental company that the vehicle has been made available to you for permanent use. • For car sharing: car-sharing contract (copy) • Members of a car-sharing scheme should enclose a copy of the car-sharing contract or comparable documentation. Use of different motor vehicles in a manner comparable to car sharing must likewise be evidenced by suitable documentation. • Some car-sharing providers have special arrangements for free parking, including in Parkraumbewirtschaftungszonen (parking management zones). Please check with your provider. • If represented by someone else: written power of attorney You only need a written power of attorney if you are authorizing someone else to renew a resident parking permit on your behalf and to collect it. • Note on data protection All other data that is not relevant, such as height, eye colour, photograph, access number, further details about the motor vehicle, etc., may be rendered illegible in accordance with the Berliner Datenschutzgesetz (Berlin Data Protection Act).

Apply for the Bewohnerparkausweis (residents' parking permit) in the Bezirk (district) in which the Parkraumbewirtschaftungszone (parking management zone) is located. Exception: The Bezirksamt Mitte (Mitte district office) is responsible for the entire Flottwellstraße.
