Elections - Apply for postal voting documents

• You are eligible to vote • If represented by another person: written power of attorney Anyone wishing to submit the application on behalf of another person must prove their authorization to the Wahlamt (electoral office) by presenting a written power of attorney. • Deadline for the online application: The application can be submitted from 10.08.2026 to 15.09.2026. • Deadline for the written application by e-mail or post: The application must reach the responsible Bezirkswahlamt (district electoral office) by Friday before the election (18.09.2026), 15:00.

• Application for postal voting documents You can submit the application online or in writing with a signature by post, fax, or e-mail. The application cannot be submitted by phone. The application must contain the following information: • Surname, first name • Address in Berlin (street, house number, postal code) • Date of birth • Address to which the postal voting documents should be sent For the online application: • The application can be submitted from 10.08.2026 to 15.09.2026. • Before submitting your application, please check your details and, if necessary, print out the application for your records. • If you intend to vote at a postal voting station, please do not submit this Wahlscheinantrag (application for a voting certificate). • If you accidentally submit the application more than once, the Wahlamt (electoral office) may only consider the first application (even if you may have forgotten the address to which the voting certificate should be sent in that one and added it in the second application). In such a case, please contact the responsible Wahlamt (electoral office) directly. For the written application: • The application can be submitted until Friday before the election (18.09.2026), 3:00 p.m. • Please use the Briefwahlantrag (postal voting application) found on the back of your Wahlbenachrichtigung (election notification) and sign the application. For postal voting on site: • You can also request the postal voting documents on site. The Briefwahlstellen (postal voting offices) are open throughout Berlin from 10.08.2026. • For postal voting on site: identity card or another official photo ID
