You can choose whether to report the need for private use in an apartment, for a business, or as the owner of a property. Procedure • Report your need for a broadband internet connection to the responsible authority. This is only possible through the online procedure. • Your report is transferred to a protected area that telecommunications companies can access. • As part of the needs report, you have the option to be contacted directly by telecommunications companies with concrete offers. To do this, you must give the responsible authority your explicit consent. Your data will, of course, be handled confidentially in accordance with data protection requirements. • You are also welcome to submit your needs anonymously. In this case, your need will only be shown on the needs map (Bedarfskarte). You can access this through the online processing of the procedure. Please note that the State of Berlin is currently not permitted to actively intervene in broadband expansion. Accordingly, your needs report serves as a mediating instrument between you as the party with the need and the telecommunications companies carrying out the expansion.
