• You have submitted the Verpflichtungserklärung (declaration of commitment) online service.berlin.de/dienstleistung/326540/ • You have an appointment (Termin) • The Landesamt für Einwanderung (State Office for Immigration) has reviewed the documents you submitted online and informed you of an appointment for the handover of the Verpflichtungserklärung. • If you are unable to attend the appointment, please be sure to cancel it in the ServicePortal. • For a new appointment, please contact the responsible department Referat B 5 via the contact form on the website of the Landesamt für Einwanderung (see the "Further information" section). To assign your request, the transaction number from the PDF document of your online application is needed. • In-person appointment The signing of the Verpflichtungserklärung is generally also possible through an authorized third party.

• Your passport or Personalausweis (identity card) If signed by a person authorized by you, a copy is also sufficient. • If you do not hold German citizenship, the citizenship of another EU country, or of Iceland, Liechtenstein or Norway: valid Aufenthaltstitel (residence permit) An Aufenthaltsgestattung (permission to reside during asylum proceedings), Duldung (toleration / temporary suspension of deportation) or Fiktionsbescheinigung (fiction certificate) is not sufficient. • If signed by an authorized third party: additional documents • Identity document of the authorized person • Written power of attorney for signing the Verpflichtungserklärung (declaration of commitment)
