• Vehicle of class M1, N1 or L5e • You are in possession of all required documents (Zulassungsbescheinigung Teil I and Teil II [registration certificate, Part I and Part II], number plate(s), and Verwertungsnachweis [proof of disposal]) • For applying in person: an appointment (Termin) is required You can arrange an appointment (Termin) with the Kfz-Zulassungsbehörde (vehicle registration authority) via the appointment booking system or at [email protected]. • For the online application: The vehicle must be registered in Berlin. • For the online application: The number plates must have stamp seals (Stempelplaketten) and security codes that can be exposed. • For the online application: The Zulassungsbescheinigung Teil I (registration certificate, Part I) must have an exposable security code on the back. • For the online application: The Zulassungsbescheinigung Teil II (registration certificate, Part II) must have an exposable security code on the front. • For the online application: Consent to the electronic payment procedure The following payment methods are available to you: • Credit card (Visa, Mastercard) • PayPal

• Application for taking a vehicle out of service (Außerbetriebsetzung) with proof of recycling (Verwertungsnachweis) You can submit the application either online or in person on site. • Vehicle registration certificate part I (Zulassungsbescheinigung Teil I), if available, with trailer list • Vehicle registration certificate part II (Zulassungsbescheinigung Teil II) • if applicable, vehicle registration document (Fahrzeugschein), if available, with trailer list and vehicle title certificate (Fahrzeugbrief) for vehicles first registered before 2005 • Proof of recycling (Verwertungsnachweis) (in the case of disposal in another member state or another contracting state, the proof of recycling must be submitted in accordance with Article 5(3) and (5) of Directive 2000/53/EC) • both licence plates, or the licence plate in the case of a motorcycle or light motorcycle etc.
