• Application for reliability check (Zuverlässigkeitsüberprüfung) You can submit the application online or in writing by post. • Proof of identity copy of both sides of the Personalausweis (identity card) or copy of both sides of the passport • Periods of employment for the last 5 years (to the exact day) • Places of residence for the last 10 years • if applicable, Meldebescheinigung (registration certificate) (no older than 4 weeks) • If your place of residence was abroad for more than six months in total within the past five years: certificate of good conduct (Straffreiheitszeugnis) or European Certificate of Good Conduct (Europäisches Führungszeugnis) • For pilots and flight students: confirmation from the flight school; for repeat examinations: pilot's licence • For self-employed persons: trade registration (Gewerbeanmeldung) • For extensions: notice (Bescheid) from the previous reliability check. • if applicable, residence permit (Aufenthaltstitel) (including supplementary sheet)

5.00 to 150.00 euros Vorkasse (advance payment) is only charged for applicants with a residence or permanent regular stay abroad and for employers in insolvency. As a rule, the fee is transferred after the notice (Bescheid) has been sent to the applicant (flight students and private pilots) or by notification to the employer (all other applicants).
