If you are a business operator wishing to commercially place certain containers, Wechselbehälter (swap bodies), and portable rental toilets on streets, paths, and squares, you can apply online for the necessary exception permits (framework exception permit and location exception permits), including the regulation of Sondernutzung (special use of public land), through a Simplified Procedure. Procedure • The Straßenverkehrsbehörden (road traffic authorities) of Berlin's Bezirksämter (district offices) approve, upon application, participation in the Simplified Procedure for the placement of Wechselsammelbehälter (swap collection containers). • To use the online service, you need an Unternehmenskonto (business account, MUK) with a valid ELSTER certificate. • The application and the request for the individual (specifying) location exception permits are submitted exclusively online. • The authority reviews the applications; the approving Bescheide (notices) are delivered exclusively in electronic form to your Unternehmenskonto (MUK). • At regular intervals, a payment request is issued for the fees set in each individual case ("Sammelabrechnung" / collective billing).
