• At least the possession of a Fahrlehrerlaubnis (driving instructor licence) for classes A and BE • Three years of full-time provision of theoretical and practical driving-school instruction within the last five years • A maximum of two points in the Fahreignungsregister (Register of Fitness to Drive, Flensburg) • Successful completion of an induction course within the last two years This comprises a four-day basic course and a four-day programme-specific course for conducting the Aufbauseminar (advanced training seminar) under Section 2a paragraph 2 sentence 1 number 1 of the Straßenverkehrsgesetz (Road Traffic Act). • An existing employment relationship with a driving school The owner or the person responsible for managing the training establishment must also hold the "Aufbauseminar" seminar licence.

• Application for the granting of a Seminarerlaubnis (permit to conduct seminars) You can submit the application in writing by post, or you can send the application by email to [email protected]. • Fahrlehrerschein (driving instructor licence) for classes BE and A • Proof that, within the last five years, you have given theoretical and practical instruction to driving students on a full-time professional basis for at least three years (A written statement from the employer(s) must be submitted for this.) • Extended certificate of good conduct (Erweitertes Führungszeugnis) for the licensing authority pursuant to § 30 a BZRG (Federal Central Criminal Register Act) service.berlin.de/dienstleistung/120926/ (must not be older than 3 months at the time of application; as the authority, please state: Landesamt für Bürger- und Ordnungsangelegenheiten (State Office for Citizens' and Regulatory Affairs), Referat Fahrerlaubnisse, Personen- und Güterbeförderung (Driving Licences, Passenger and Freight Transport Division), and as purpose: IV D 11 HSB Fahrschulerlaubnis; alternatively, use the form "Anschreiben Führungszeugnis" (cover letter for certificate of good conduct)) • Certificate from a body recognised by the competent supreme state authority confirming that you took part in an Einweisungslehrgang (induction course) within the last two years before submitting the application • This consists of a four-day basic course in traffic education, and • a four-day course on designing the content of the traffic education component of the FES (Fahreignungsseminar – driver aptitude seminar), • observation (Hospitation) of a complete traffic education component of the FES, and • a complete traffic education component of the FES conducted by yourself (supervised by the course management)
