• Deadline for notification: 14 days before the start of the geological investigation / drilling • This concerns a planned soil investigation / geothermal drilling / geological investigation • Restrictions on drilling in nature reserves and water protection areas, or through underground structures (subway shafts, etc.) or buried pipelines/cables, are taken into account • For the online application: registration/sign-up via BundID or Mein Unternehmenskonto (MUK, "my business account") • For the online application: an activated online ID function (eID) or an Elster certificate service.berlin.de/dienstleistung/329833/ To sign up for BundID using the "Online-Ausweis" (online ID) option, you need: • Your electronic identity card (Personalausweis), the Unionsbürgerkarte (Union citizen's ID card, eID card), or the electronic residence permit (eAT), each with the online ID function (eID) activated, and your PIN, • an external card reader or a modern, NFC-enabled smartphone with an Android or iOS operating system, • the "AusweisApp" software As a legal entity, you need an Elster certificate to sign up via Mein Unternehmenskonto (MUK). • Deadline for submitting the results: no later than 3 or 6 months after completion of the work (note that different deadlines may apply under the Geologiedatengesetz [Geological Data Act]) • Technical data no later than three months, and • Evaluation data no later than six months

• Step 1: Notification for geological investigations and drilling You can only submit the notification online. • Step 2: Submission of results: technical data and evaluation data (after completion of the work) You can upload the documents/data as a PDF or image file via the link provided in the confirmation email. • Information on the drill core or drill samples, and the borehole log (Schichtenverzeichnis). • For geological investigations carried out over an area by means of measurements: please submit the measurement data and documentation of the processing steps applied. The measurement data must be processed, using technical means available on the market, into data that is comparable and suitable for evaluation.
