• You are at least 14 and at most 26 years old • The application must be submitted before you turn 27. • The age limits do not apply to close family members. • You have been continuously present in the federal territory for at least 3 years under Duldung (toleration status), Gestattung (permission to remain during an asylum procedure), or a residence permit (Aufenthaltserlaubnis) This requirement does not apply to close family members. • You hold either a valid residence permit (Aufenthaltserlaubnis) under Section 104c of the Aufenthaltsgesetz (Residence Act) or a Duldung (toleration status) for at least 12 months This requirement does not apply to close family members. • Your identity has been established • You hold a valid passport or passport substitute • You have been successfully attending a school in the federal territory for 3 years, or have obtained a recognized school or vocational qualification in the federal territory • This requirement is waived in the case of a physical, mental, or psychological illness or disability. • This requirement does not apply to close family members. • Your subsistence is secured, or you are currently in school education, vocational training, or university studies This requirement does not apply to minor children or siblings. • Positive integration prognosis • Youth sentences imposed, or prison sentences under adult criminal law, generally count against a positive integration prognosis. • For close family members, the granting of the residence permit (Aufenthaltserlaubnis) is already excluded in the case of fines totaling up to 50 daily rates (Tagessätze), or up to 90 daily rates for offenses under the Aufenthaltsgesetz (Residence Act) or Asylgesetz (Asylum Act). • You affirm your commitment to the free democratic basic order of the Federal Republic of Germany and have basic knowledge of the legal and social system and living conditions in the federal territory • Main residence in Berlin You live in Berlin.
