Apply for funding from the Co-financing Fund (Kofinanzierungsfonds)

• Applications are possible from 17.08.2026 to 28.09.2026. The application deadline ends on 28.09.2026 at 14:00. Applications must be submitted online only. Sending application documents by post is not possible. Only applications received by 14:00 via the Antragscenter (application portal) can be considered. After that, no further submission is possible; transmissions already in progress are automatically cancelled. • Applicants must have their primary residence or registered seat in Berlin. The majority of those involved in the project must have their primary residence in Berlin. • Applicants may submit only one application per funding round. • The maximum amount of the funding recommendation from the Senatsverwaltung für Kultur und Gesellschaftlichen Zusammenhalt (Senate Department for Culture and Social Cohesion) is based on the amount of funds required for the application to the main funder (= largest third-party funder). • The minimum fee rates (Honoraruntergrenzen) must be taken into account in the financing plan.

• Copy of the planned application to the main funder (Hauptförderer), including attachments If the application to the main funder is in English (e.g. Creative Europe), a two-page synopsis (Exposé) in German must also be submitted. • Copy of the financing plan intended for the main funder If you are planning an application in combination with Creative Europe: please also submit here a financing plan covering only the part you will be applying for from the Kofinanzierungsfonds (co-financing fund). Please use the sample financing plan provided for this purpose. • Proof of being based in Berlin • For individuals: copy of the Personalausweis (identity card) (both sides) or passport together with the Meldebescheinigung (registration certificate) from the Einwohnermeldeamt (residents' registration office) • For GbRs (partnerships under civil law): copy of the GbR partnership agreement; at least half of the GbR members must be registered in Berlin • For legal entities: extract from the Handelsregister (commercial register) or Vereinsregister (register of associations) (e.g. registered associations, UG [entrepreneurial company with limited liability], gGmbH [non-profit limited liability company]).
